Photos sighted by us at OccupyGh.com shows a variety of Ghanaian food packaged in a jar for sale, from Yam with Palava Sauce to Waakye with macaroni and shito at the bottom.

The photos were shared by a netizen on Twitter who captioned it:

“It all started when the Kumasi people starting calling it Awaakye instead of Waakye. #WaakyeLivesMatter.“

Netizens then jumped on the hashtag and boom, Waakye Lives Matter is now trending on Twitter for this matter.
