<p>Drama ensued at a funeral in Sabata, Trans Nzoia County on Wednesday, August 12, after political leaders engaged in a fistfight.</p>



<p>The leaders accused each other of misusing a public gathering to gain political mileage ahead of the 2022 General Election.</p>



<p>Members of Trans Nzoia County Assembly accused Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa of using shady ways of gaining an upper-hand in the Gubernatorial race.</p>

<p>&#8220;When you come with your leaders do not cause chaos, that is lack of respect and leaders should also stop using youth to cause trouble.</p>

<p class="has-black-color has-text-color">The burial was attended by a large crowd, flouting the Covid-19 guidelines set by the Ministry of Health<a href="https://occupygh.com/watch-as-politicians-fight-at-a-burial-ground-video">.</a> Political temperatures in the country have been rising despite two years still left to the 2022 General Election as several politicians have started preparations for the ballot.</p>



<p>Western Kenya has been a beehive of political activities with several rallies being disrupted by policemen.</p>



<p>Sitatunga MCA Daniel Kaburu claimed that some of the gubernatorial aspirants are using foul language in political gatherings.</p>



<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve watched leaders who are eyeing Governorship in Trans Nzoia, some are full of insults and I would like to say that those are not leaders,&#8221; he stated.</p>
