Ghanaians have come under fire from preacher Prophet Kumchacha for consistently electing bad candidates to rule the nation.
The founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries claims that the Bible even makes it clear that choosing virtuous leaders makes people joyful while electing or choosing sinners makes people suffer.
The Bible indicates that when a righteous man rises to leadership positions, the people he is in charge of are happier. According to the Bible, when sinners and wicked individuals hold positions of authority or leadership, both God and that country suffer.
He responded that it is never a sin for any pastor to get involved in politics when asked why he constantly speaks about political matters even if he is supposed to avoid them.
“It’s not wrong for a Prophet of God to hold public office or engage in party politics, and doing so even delivers benefits to the country.
“If we claim that the prophet of God shouldn’t be involved in politics, then we’ll rather let evildoers, occultists, godless people, and sinners lead us.
“And when those people are our leaders, they pass laws that will have an impact on God’s people, which is something we shouldn’t allow to happen,” he said.
