President Akufo-Addo has asserted his authority in road construction decisions in Ghana, stating that no road can be built without his approval.
Speaking to New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters in Ejisu during a campaign event, Akufo-Addo highlighted his pivotal role in the distribution of development across the country, particularly in the roads sector.
His remarks came in response to queries about road construction from Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, an Independent Candidate in the upcoming Ejisu by-election.
Akufo-Addo’s assertion underscores his commitment to overseeing infrastructure projects and ensuring their alignment with government priorities.
He emphasized the NPP’s leadership in governance, declaring that until January 7th, the ruling government remains under NPP leadership.
“I don’t say this to boast but there is no road that can be constructed in Ghana without my permission. From today till the 7th of January, the government in power is an NPP government led by Akufo-Addo.”
