In a scandal that has stunned the community, Ghanaian cleric known as Sofo Abre has confessed to impregnating a young woman after initially denying any involvement.
The revelation came during his appearance on Oyerepa FM’s popular show Oyerepa Afutuo, where he admitted to having a relationship with the woman despite previously denying the allegations.
The woman’s mother disclosed on the show that Sofo Abre had initially pleaded with her to keep the affair hidden to protect his reputation as a religious leader.
He reportedly promised to provide financial support for both her daughter and the child. However, according to her, the cleric withdrew his assistance soon after, ultimately denying responsibility for the child and demanding a DNA test.
The case, which has sparked widespread public debate, raises questions about accountability and integrity among religious leaders.
