A young Nigerian man has admitted on social media that he sold the family’s farm and used the proceeds to escape.
According to the person who uses the Twitter handle @dangbanamanager, he sold the property for N60 million before relocating to the UK, where he has been ever since.
He claimed that because of what he did, he decided to stay in London rather than go back to his hometown of Ijebu-Ososa in the Ogun state.
In response to a tweet asking “What’s the highest credit alert you’ve ever received at once?” he tweeted the story.
Netizens who were interested in how he pulled off the hoax responded to the post in large numbers.
He composed;
“Our family land was sold for 60 million naira. That is the reason I haven’t visited Ososa in so many years.
