A young boy, bitten by a stray dog, began exhibiting canine behaviors, much to the shock of his parents.
Following the distressing incident, the concerned parents promptly rushed him to the hospital for medical attention.
A widely circulated video captured the unusual sight of the 10-year-old boy, lying in his hospital bed, mimicking dog-like behavior, including barking and licking his lips.

The video has since garnered significant attention online, with netizens expressing both concern and fascination over the boy’s condition.
As he is being attended in the hospital, the boy’s well-being remains at the forefront of everyone’s thoughts and prayers.
Here are some possibilities behind what might be misinterpreted as “barking”:
- Rabies: While rabies is a serious viral infection transmitted through animal bites, its symptoms in humans do not include barking. Rabies can cause hyperexcitability, confusion, hydrophobia (fear of water), and difficulty swallowing, but not vocalizations resembling animal sounds.
- Psychological Factors: In very rare cases, extreme psychological trauma from a dog bite might lead to a condition called psychogenic vocal tic disorder. This can cause involuntary vocalizations, but they wouldn’t be specific to barking.
