A/R: Lady Follows Pastor’s Direction, Kills Her ‘Witch’ Mother For Being Behind Her Struggles In Life

Residents of Abuakwa Asenemaso in the Atwima Nwabiagya South District of Ashanti Region are reeling from a tragic incident that occurred on the morning of June 17, 2024.

A 76-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her 55-year-old daughter following accusations of witchcraft.

The accusation reportedly originated from the daughter’s pastor, who convinced her that her mother was responsible for their misfortunes. This led to the horrific event that has left the community in shock.

Family head George Badu Gyan spoke to Kumasi-based Akoma FM, revealing that after the murder, the daughter, identified as Boateng, attempted to take her own life. Witnesses saw her heading to the cemetery in blood-stained clothes. She bought a toxic substance from an agro-chemical shop, presumably to ingest it.

Fortunately, a vigilant community member intervened just in time. “The information I received is that she killed her mother when no one else was home.

Some people saw her going to the cemetery with blood-stained clothes and thought she was attempting suicide. She picked up a toxic substance from an agro-chemical shop and opened it, but one of my nephews kicked it out of her hand, preventing her from consuming it,” Gyan recounted.

The community is grappling with the aftermath of this tragic event, as investigations continue into the circumstances leading to the crime.
