When the Action Worship Centre stole Serwaa Amihere’s fabric designs to sew for their choir members, she filed a complaint.
An infuriated Amihere claimed that the church’s actions were harming her business and used social media to criticise it.
Serwaa launched her own apparel brand, Officeandco by Serwaa, a few years ago.
According to pictures the church posted on social media, choristers at the Action Worship Centre were seen wearing one of her creations.
When Serwaa saw that, she became enraged and accused the church of stealing her designs and hurting her company’s bottom line.
“This is Action Worship Centre, my intellectual property. My design was stolen by your choirboys. I have something for sale. This is depravity. Pure evil, the writer wrote.
Though Serwaa was accused of stealing the design from Pinterest, online users were not sympathetic to her complaints.
One netizen commented, “This design has been on Pinterest for years.”
Another said: “It’s possible that the choir used the same Guangzhou, China supplier that she has been working with. You can purchase these dresses on AliExpress.
