The Black Stars of Ghana have been drawn in Group F alongside Angola, Sudan, and Niger in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The draw, which took place in Johannesburg yesterday, saw Ghana, as one of the 12 highest-ranked teams, seeded in Pot 1.
The Black Stars will now face a stiff competition from their Group F opponents to secure a spot in next year’s tournament in Morocco. The qualifiers will see 48 teams divided into 12 groups of four teams each, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the AFCON.

Other groups formed in the draw include Group A, consisting of Tunisia, Madagascar, Comoros, and Gambia; Group B, comprising hosts Morocco, Gabon, Central African Republic (CAR), and Lesotho; Group C, made up of Egypt, Mauritania, Cape Verde, and Botswana; and Group D, consisting of Nigeria, Benin, Libya, and Rwanda.
The AFCON qualifiers are set to kick off in October, with the tournament scheduled to take place in December and January next year.
