
<p>Following a tweet in which he responded to the recent brutalization of nonviolent protestors by the Ghana Police Service, Sarkodie has come under fire from users of social media.</p>



<p>Netizens criticised Sarkodie&#8217;s calm and collected post that offered some moderate criticism of the administration and called him out for being a hypocrite.</p>

<p>As was previously said, the police used a protest called &#8220;Occupy Julorbi House&#8221; on September 21, 2023, as an excuse to go on an arresting rampage.</p>



<p>The police dispersed the demonstration and detained the demonstrators, some of whom were even physically attacked, including well-known journalist Bridget Otoo.</p>



<p>Many well-known people have reacted by criticising the police and the current administration for their harsh response to what was fundamentally a peaceful rally.</p>



<p>Writing, &#8220;You can only be scared of a peaceful protest when you know you deserve otherwise,&#8221; Sarkodie also expressed his opinion.</p>



<p>His lacklustre statement drew criticism from social media users who pointed out that it would have been worse if the NDC had still been in power.</p>
