The president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo’s famous quote said during his address to the nation on measures taken by the government on COVID-19, has reached a new feat.
The quote went viral instantly, gaining him international recognition at a time the entire world was lost as to whether to preserve their economies or lockdown to save the lives of their citizens.
The quote: “We know how to bring our economy back to life. What we do not know how to do is to bring people back to life.” Has been featured in a new book recently published by Canadian management professor, Joshua Gans titled “Economics in the age of COVID-19”.
The book, as its title, suggests talks about the world economies, which have plunged into chaos with a looming recession during this pandemic that’s brought the world to a standstill.
