Amakye Dede, a veteran Ghanaian highlife musician has revealed that he was forced to crown fellow musician Kuami Eugene as the ‘King Of Highlife’ music in Ghana.
As you will recall, at a recent awards night, Amakye was present to crown Kuami Eugene as the ‘King Of Highlife’ music.
He hasn’t made mention the moment or event leading to the crowning and how it went about until this recent interview – Amakye noted in the interview that he was forced to present a crown on the head of the ‘Rock Star’ singer.
“It wasn’t my willingness to crown Kuami Eugene. I did it but they force me to crown him as the King Of Highlife music in Ghana…”, Amayke noted in his recent interview.
