The Chief of Nkroful, Nana Kwasi Kutuah, and the Nzema Manle have summoned Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to Nkroful to render an unreserved apology for his recent comments about Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
At a press conference on Sunday, July 14, at Nkroful, the Chief and the Nzema Manle condemned NAPO’s comments as disrespectful and an affront to Ghana’s democracy.
They demanded that NAPO come to Nkroful to apologize to the kinsmen of Dr. Nkrumah and the people of Nzema.
The Chief cautioned politicians against undermining Dr. Nkrumah’s legacy, emphasizing that the people of Nzema and the Western Region cherish his achievements and will not allow anyone to tarnish his reputation.
He urged political actors to advocate for unity, peace, and development in their messages.
This development comes after NAPO’s controversial comments about Dr. Nkrumah during his unveiling in Kumasi, which sparked outrage among some Ghanaians.
