Veteran Ghanaian rapper and physician Okyeame Kwame has explained his decision to become agnostic and give up religion.
In a recent Angel TV interview, Okyeame Kwame said that he had to date Annica for four years before getting married, having met her when he was 29 years old.
After a year of dating, he indicated that he wanted to marry her, but his wife’s parents were adamant.
My spouse and her parents were Jehovah’s Witnesses, but I was raised as a Methodist. They therefore opposed my marriage to her. They were adamantly against the marriage because we didn’t share their faith. said Okyeame Kwame.
Ultimately, we still got married without their consent. Your parents’ consent is not required before getting married. It shouldn’t be a problem as long as you two get along.” Narrated by Okyeame Kwame.
Okyeame went on to say that he chose to become neutral and give up religion as a result of the religious hostility he encountered during his marriage.
Although he is no longer a member of any Christian church, he still enjoyed hearing the sermons.
