Bill Gates allegedly went on Weekend holidays and getaways with his ex-girlfriend Ann whilst he was married to Melinda Gates.
People say this peculiar arrangement between Bill and Melinda Gates may have been instrumental in their divorce. The Billionaire kept in touch and holidayed with his ex-girlfriend, Ann Winblad, every year.
Soon-to-be ex-wife, Melinda Gates was aware of this arrangement since their marriage in 1994. The agreement stated that he would continue to see his ex-girlfriend for an annual weekend getaway. Walter Issacson, a reporter for the Time Magazine, made these revelations in a profile piece of the Microsoft co-founder in 1997.
According to the article, bill and Ann Winblad (ex-girlfriend) met in 1984 at a Ben Rosen-Esther Dyson computer conference. After a brief friendship, they started going on ‘virtual dates’ by watching the same movie, at the same time, in different cities and discussing it on their phones.
Bill and his ex-girlfriend, Ann, spend long weekends vacationing together every year. They said they share thoughts about the world and themselves whilst discussing Biotechnology.
Earlier this week, Bill and Melinda Gates announcement of their divorce shocked. After 27 years, the couple said that they could not grow as a couple again.
