Elrad Salifu Amoako, the 16-year-old son of Bishop Salifu Amoako, has been remanded by Accra’s Juvenile Court in connection with a tragic car accident in East Legon that claimed the lives of two young girls.
Elrad appeared in court on November 1, 2024, pleading not guilty to eight charges, including manslaughter and dangerous driving.
The accident occurred on October 12, 2024, when Elrad’s Jaguar SUV collided with another vehicle, causing a fatal fire that killed 12-year-olds Justine Agbenu and Maame Dwomoh Boaten.

Public outrage has followed the case, with many questioning the accountability for allowing an unlicensed driver on the road.
Bishop Amoako and his wife face additional charges for permitting an unlicensed individual to operate a vehicle.
Initially, Elrad was deemed unfit for questioning due to injuries but has since been discharged from the hospital.
