The Ghana Police has arrested 12 people over a violent protest at Chereponi, a small town in the North East Region of Ghana.

According to the details gathered by OccupyGh.com, the arrested was made following an intelligence-led operation.
The 12 were arrested for allegedly destroying some private properties and assaulting some persons at Chereponi.
The unrest was believed to be an act to have been triggered following the announcement of a new DCE for the area.
