President of Ghana, Nana AKufo-Addo has announced a total shutdown, breaking all schools, both public and private in the country over fears of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The decision was taken after he chaired an inter-ministerial committee meeting on the pandemic on Sunday, March 15.
Ghana has recorded six (6) cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

President Akufo-Addo announced this in a live nationwide broadcast.
All schools including primary schools must close from Monday, March 16.
Akufo-Addo also announced a ban on all social gatherings including church services, funerals, political rallies and parties for the next four weeks.
These measures come in the wake of the confirmation of six cases of Covid-19 in Ghana.
