China is now facing a new virus, Hantavirus, months after fighting off COVID-19 which has now infected over 300,000 people worldwide.
News of a Chinese man dying from the hantavirus has sent shockwaves on social media platforms. The man was reportedly traveling by bus in the Yunan province, China, when he suddenly died and tests confirmed the presence of the disease.
The report also said that 32 other people have been tested for the virus. This news has seen people panicking on social media platforms with some calling it the next disaster after COVID-19.

People who contract the hantavirus usually come into contact with rodents that carry the virus.
Unlike the coronavirus, it is not communicable from humans to humans. One can only be infected if a person touches the urine, saliva, feces, or nesting materials of rats that have the virus.
Symptoms of the virus include fever, body aches, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, new rash, and a dry cough, and difficulty breathing.
