OccupyGh.com has been informed of a 60-year-old farmer, Lawrence Obuobi, who was butchered to unconsciousness by some unknown attackers in Suhum Municipality in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Sources close to the incidence revealed that the attackers made away with very little money from the farmer.
The victim, Lawrence Obuobi, was rushed to the hospital by a Taxi driver who was fortunately close to the scene.
“I don’t have a problem with anyone. I was going to farm a few minutes to 6:00 am last Sunday then suddenly I was attacked and fell. They took away my mobile phone, my shirt, money. I was bleeding but suddenly a taxi appeared which I stopped and rushed me to the hospital. I can’t tell those who did that but on my way, I saw some two young guys who were jogging I don’t know if they did that,” the victim mentioned to the police.
Kwesi Gyasi Ayisi who happens to be a friend of Lawrence alleged that the victim was discharged prematurely from the hospital given the reason that he was unstable.
The Suhum Police Command has commenced investigations on the matter to bring these attackers to book.
