According to the details privy to our news desk, the greater part of the popular market caught fire in the early afternoon hours of Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
A source close to the incident revealed to OccupyGh.com that he suspected the fire was caused by an electrical fault.
The source who happens to be a victim of the fire said he was able to salvage a few things from his shop but most of the things were damaged.
The Ghana Fire Service was called to the scene. They were able to bring the fire under control.
