The former Central Regional Minister who is known as an NDC stalwart, Ama Benyiwa-Doe has been confirmed dead.
Ama Benyiwa was the Member of Parliament for Gomoa West in the year 1992-2004. She later became an NDC women Organiser and was appointed by the late Prof Fiifi Atta Mills as Central Regional Minister.
Per reports, she has been sick for a while now and was battling to recover from the chronic illness.
Sadly, she eventually passed away in Tema General Hospital on the 19th of September, 2021. This was confirmed by NDC’s Kakra Asamoah. May her soul rest in peace.
She died at the age of 71.
