A three-story building still under construction has collapsed into another building beside it on Akanbi Crescent in the Yaba area of Lagos State.
According to PUNCH, an eyewitness said a part of the building had collapsed late last year, but the construction did not stop.
Another eyewitness on Lawani Street, a street off the scene of the incident, said that her car was affected last year when a section of the building collapsed, however, construction continued despite the police being called in.
The Director-General, of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu confirmed the incident.
A 16-year-old boy and another adult male have come out of the rubble while there is an unconfirmed number still trapped in the collapsed building.
One person is however feared to have died.
