Ghanaian Designer based in the United States Virgil Abloh has died of cancer, according to a statement released by the LVMH Group on Sunday.
Abloh had been privately fighting the disease for years, according to the statement.
Abloh was the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear collection and the CEO and founder of Off-White.
Virgil Abloh was the founder of the fashion brand Off-White and the first African American to serve as artistic director for Louis Vuitton.
