Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research of Ghana has revealed that they found cancerous substances in some Brukina drinks bought in Nima and Ashaiman vicinities of Accra, Ghana.
Burkina is one of the most sought-after chill drinks readily available in the Ghanaian market.
It is made chiefly from ‘Cow Milk’ and ‘Millet’.
Regardless of its popularity in the Ghanaian market, little is known about its regulation and its medical benefits.
However, from research by the Noguchi Institute, cancerous substances have been found in some of these drinks that were bought around Nima and Ashaiman.
