China Blocks WHO Attempts To Investigate Origins Of Coronavirus

The World Health Organization has claimed that China refused its repeated requests to be a part of the investigations, into the origins of the coronavirus pandemic.

A WHO representative confirmed the news to Sky News saying WHO has not been invited to join in on the investigations.

“We know that some national investigation is happening but at this stage, we have not been invited to join,” Dr. Gauden Galea said.

“WHO is making requests of the health commission and the authorities,” he said

He reiterated that the origins of the virus are very important, especially the animal to a human interface that needs to be studied.

“The priority is we need to know as much as possible to prevent the reoccurrence.”

Quizzed on whether China had a good reason not to include WHO, Dr. Galea said from WHO’s point of view there was no reason.

The Australian government declared that an independent public inquiry should look into the origins of the Coronavirus and EU countries also publicly endorsed the idea.

A furious China lashed back saying that investigations into the origins of the Coronavirus should be a matter for scientists.

The coronavirus first broke out at a wet market, in the Chinese city of Wuhan, Hubei province.

It was originally believed to have originated from some form of sea life before snakes came to into the equation as well.

Further investigations revealed that the virus might have originated from bats but latched onto humans through an intermediary species which is yet to be identified.

The pangolin ranges high on the list of possible careers of the virus to humans but so do other animals as well.

How the virus jumped from animals to humans is still a mystery.

WHO does not believe that the virus was man-made or designed in a laboratory but no comprehensive context also exists to support the latter animal-human transmission hypothesis.
