China has reported no new coronavirus deaths for the first time since it started publishing death statistics in January.
Cases in mainland China have been dropping since March and are only dealing with imported cases that are nearly 1,000 in total.
Chinese health authorities reported 32 new cases nationwide, all of which were imported cases. The country has now recorded a total of 81,740 cases and 3,331 deaths. 77,167 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

The lockdown on Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak, is expected to be lifted today. This is a significant milestone in its battle against the deadly virus.
People will be allowed to leave Wuhan and Hubei if they have a green QR code on their mobile phones, which the provincial government has distributed as an indicator of people’s health status.
