A situation occurred when a local church in Nigeria refused to bury one of its members for reason being that he did not pay his tithe while he was alive.

The story was shared by a twitter handle @MrOdanz as sighted by OccupyGh.com.

According to Mr. Odanz’s post, a local church in his village refused to bury a colleague’s father with clams that the deceased stopped attending church and also stopped paying his tithe for 3 years.

His full post read:

“A colleague’s father died and their church (name withheld) is refusing to officiate the burial. They claim he stopped attending the church and paying tithe 3 years ago. And if the church must bury him, the family has to pay all the tithe he didn’t pay in the last 3 years.”
