A #CoupChallenge has surfaced the internet, trending immediately after a failed coup attempt on the Akufo-Addo government was announced by the Minister of Information, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah yesterday.
Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah yesterday revealed that the plot by the arrested persons was targeted at the Presidency and with their ultimate aim to seize and take over the affairs of the country.
According to Hon. Kojo Oppong, the arrest come after fifteen (15) months of surveillance and gathering of evidence on the activities of the prime suspects and others by the country’s security agency.
Weapons seized included locally manufactured pistols, knives, explosive bombs and AK-47.
Ghanaians on social media found the whole situation funny and took to their various handles to make a joke out the situation with a #CoupChallenge.
