Don’t mock artistes when they don’t win awards – Joey B

Darryl Paa Kwesi Bannerman-Martin aka Joey B, has advised Ghanaians who take delight in making a mockery of artistes whenever they fail to win an award following their nominations to desist from that act.

According to him, such artistes should be encouraged and motivated rather than trolling them.

Artistes like Patapaa, Pappy Kojo and King Promise, and many others who failed to win awards after getting nominations were mocked on social media for various reasons.

Joey B, who last year lashed out at some people after they trolled artistes who failed to win an award at the VGMAs, is pleading with Ghanaians asking them not to laugh at artistes when they fail to win any awards in the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

In a post on Twitter, Joey B wrote. “ahuh i wanted to say this and go back to walking my dog. please please, this year if your favourite artiste(s) doesnt win an award, do not mock/laugh at them. its super unnecessary. lets build & encourage ourselves. ??”

Meanwhile, Medikal has called on fans of Fancy Gadam to vote massively for him to win all the categories he earned at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

The rapper who became a laughing stock after he lost out on VGMA 2017 after he was nominated for seven categories promised to team up with Fancy Gadam and Macassio to organize a free show for them in Temale if his wish is granted and he wins big at the 2019 VGMA.
