Mantse Aryeequaye of the Last Two Records, a voice behind many of Hammer of The Last Two’s music recordings has called out Obrafour after the latter filed a lawsuit against Canadian rapper Drake.
Obrafour sued Drake for copyright infringement for sampling “Oye Ohene (Remix)” in the track “Calling My Name.”

Obrafour says Drake’ previously sought permission to use the work, didn’t get it, and released the track days later anyway.
However, a plot twist of the event is that the original owner of the voice, Mantse Aryeequaye has surfaced to claim ownership of the recording.
In a series of tweets shared online by Mantse behind the account @Accradotalt on Twitter, ‘the intellectual property more specifically the ‘KILLER CUT’ sound which was sampled by Drake in the track “Calling My Name” belongs to’ him (Mantse Aryeequaye) and not to Obrafour.

According to Mantse, the “Killer Cut’ sounds were ‘never relinquish to Obrafour and were used by Edward Nana Poku Osei aka Hammer, Producer of Obrafuor’s album on Obrafuor’s song as he did with others.
Mantse further in the series of tweets revealed that he maintains ‘ his intellectual property rights and claim over all the artistic works including the “Killer Cut” sound which Drake sampled off “Oye Ohene” remix”.
