The Ghana UK Music Awards 2023 took place during the weekend, on October 7.
The Royal Regency in London served as the venue for the event.
Shatta Wale, a dancehall artist, was named Artiste Of The Year.
For the top prize, Shatta Wale defeated Black Sherif, Piesie Esther, Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy.
Frank Naro, Piesie Esther, Shatta Wale, and others were among the scheduled performers.
A ruckus was reportedly started by gospel singer Piesie Esther, who forced Frank Naro off the stage while he was performing.
Piesie Esther is alleged to have worked with the MC to have Frank Naro removed from the stage a short time after he took it.
The promoters asked an unplanned UK musician to perform, which caused Frank Naro’s performance to be delayed by around two minutes, according to the report.
Frank Naro was called to the stage after his performance, but Piesie Esther supposedly didn’t understand and had him escorted off.
She refused to participate since Frank Naro was scheduled to appear at the same time.
