Dv Lottery 2021 Registration Period: The US State Department has announced that the registration period for the 2021 Diversity Visa Program (DV-2021), the Green Card Lottery will be opened for entries from on October 2nd, 2019 at 12pm EDT and end on Tuesday, November 5th, 2019 at 12pm EST.
According to Wikipedia, the Diversity program makes available 50,000 immigrant visas annually and aims to diversify the immigrant population in the United States, by selecting applicants from countries with low numbers of immigrants in the previous five years. As of 2017, around 20 million people apply for the lottery each year.
The Diversity Visa program provides permanent resident visas to nationals of countries with low immigration rates to the Unites States over the last five years.
Ghana is one of the eligible countries to participate in this year’s program.
According to the DV Lottery 2021 Program instruction, this year’s registration requires applicant to enter the details of their unexpired passports.
To check your results for DV Lottery 2020, applicants who submitted their entries from October 3, 2018 – November 6, 2018 can visit the Entrant Status Check website at: dvlottery.state.gov
