This is an excerpt from President Akufo-Addo’s 6th nation address on measures taken against the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-16) in Ghana.
The President started his address by revealing how proud and privileged he is to be serving Ghanaians in the fight against Coronavirus.
Akufo-Addo also revealed that the country has now confirmed three hundred and seventy-eight (378) cases of Coronavirus in Ghana.
He further announced a one more week lockdown on Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi.
The icing on the cake for many was when Akufo-Addo announced that Government will fully absorb electricity bills for the poorest of the poor, that is, for all lifeline consumers.
In addition, all other consumers, residential and commercial, the Government will absorb fifty percent (50%) of the electricity bill for the period.
