Celebrated journalist and CEO of Kofi TV, Kofi Adomah Nwanwani, has suffered a severe injury during a traditional funeral ceremony in Dormaa, Bono Region.
According to an exclusive report by MyJoyonline, the incident occurred when Kofi Adomah was struck in the face by gunpowder from a musket fired by some chiefs during the ceremony.
The unfortunate event happened when Kofi Adomah repositioned himself to get a better view of the proceedings.
The gunpowder from the discharged musket caused severe damage to one of his eyes, rendering him unable to see through it. Additionally, his other eye was affected, resulting in blurry vision, as confirmed by a source close to him.
After receiving initial medical care in Ghana, Kofi Adomah was flown to Dubai to seek advanced treatment in an attempt to restore his vision.
However, according to sources, it appears that one of his eyes may be permanently damaged. “He’s now in Dubai, seeing how to restore the one blurry eye. But it looks like the other one cannot see again,” a source reportedly disclosed.
The latest updates indicate that Kofi Adomah is currently stable and receiving treatment at a hospital in Dubai.
