FIFA Installs VAR At Kumasi Babay Yara Stadium Ahead Of WC Playoff Between Ghana and Nigeria

FIFA has fully installed VAR equipment at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium ahead of the FIFA World Cup Playoff between Ghana and Nigeria.

Th Video Assistant Review (VAR) works as a team of three people working together to review decisions made by the main referee. They do this by watching video footage of the relevant occurrences off the football pitch.

This is the first time the technology has been applied in Ghana.
