Yesterday, chaos erupted near Unity Hall as a Ford Escape, bearing registration number VP-4561-14, burst into flames just as the driver prepared to start the ignition near KNUST hall in Kumasi.
Despite valiant efforts by security personnel to contain the situation, the vehicle succumbed to the fire and was reduced to a charred frame.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported from the incident.
A circulating video on social media vividly captures the harrowing sequence of events, from the initial ignition to the vehicle engulfed in flames, as well as the arrival of water service personnel attempting to douse the fire and salvage the situation.
