Breaking story reaching us at OccupyGh.com indicates that four people believed to be from the same family have been trapped to death in a galamsey pit.
The galamsey pit is said to be located at Salema near Ainyinase in the Ellembele District of the Western Region.
A witness close to the incident has told OccupyGh.com that the sad event happened on late Monday, today, around 4 PM.
The pit in which they were mining is said to have caved in.
The victims, 2 males and 2 females, are between the ages 30 and 34, reports say.
The bodies have since been deposited at the Axim Government Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.
