VIDEO: Fuse ODG Burns Picture Of ‘Jesus Christ’
The ‘Atena’ hitmaker shared videos where he was captured burning the picture of Jesus Christ and explaining his reason behind it.
Explaining his decision, Fuse ODG in one of his videos he shared on his Instagram handle stated that it is not biblical and is wrong for Christians especially Africans to hang images of white Jesus in their homes and churches.
Fuse ODG further stated that the White Jesus Christ pictures represent our oppressors that birthed dictators like Adolf Hitler, the apartheid in South Africa, the Rwandan genocide and skin bleaching.
He also said that it is wrong to worship God in any image which is idolatry and is frowned upon by God.
Fuse ODG also asserted that Christians don’t need to worship God in any form or image but rather worship the Creator in truth and spirit.
Fuse ODG noted:
“For the oppressed, as Africans, we can hope that the oppressors can do the right thing but we cannot depend on it. We need to take our faith into our own hands. We have the responsibility to deal with our own truth and it starts with this (pointing to Jesus’ painting),”
“This is a seed. This is the seed that gave birth to [Adolf] Hitler and his doctrine. This is the seed that gave birth to the KKK, the apartheid in South Africa, the Rwandan genocide, a people of color bleaching across the globe till date as we speak, and the list goes on.”
“This is not even biblical. If you read the Bible, it specifically tells us not to create any images in the form of a man or a woman or any creature on earth. This is ‘idology’ and again if you read the Bible there’s nothing that got hate than idol worship. We need to take down this images and worship God in spirit and in truth.”
Fuse ODG ended his video by calling on Christians in Africa to take down the pictures of the White Jesus Christ from their homes and churches before burning the painting of Jesus.
