Ghana Police Arrest Nine for False Claims of Genital Disappearance

The Ghana Police Service has apprehended nine individuals across the country for making false claims regarding the disappearance of their genitals, sparking widespread panic and fear among the public.

The arrests come after thorough investigations, including medical examinations, revealed that all such claims were baseless. The alleged incidents led to attacks on innocent citizens and heightened tensions in various communities.

Among those arrested, six were detained in Kasoa, two in Ashaiman, and one in Nkawkaw, with five already arraigned before court.

While three individuals have been remanded into police custody, two have been granted bail, and the remainder are on police inquiry bail, awaiting their court appearance.

The authorities have emphasized the severity of spreading false information and urged the public to refrain from such actions to prevent unnecessary alarm and chaos.
