On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, actress and entrepreneur Fella Makafui was arrested for engaging in illegal activities related to the sale of unregistered drugs.
The arrest was announced through a press release by ISPYGH247.
The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) confirmed that Fella Makafui faces charges for selling unregistered drugs, false advertising, and disseminating unapproved advertisements. This arrest came after a six-month surveillance operation led by ISPYGH247.
Lead investigator Akwasi Koranteng and his team of undercover journalists monitored Makafui’s social media activity on platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
Evidence showed that she was promoting and selling various unregistered health and beauty products that pose potential harm to consumers. Authorities confiscated 16 different products from her inventory upon her arrest.
Exclusive information obtained by GhPage reveals that Makafui has been granted bail. Sources indicate that musician Medikal, despite a current legal dispute with Makafui over their $2 million Nungua mansion, collaborated with a team of lawyers to secure her release.
It is suspected that Medikal paused their legal battle to ensure Makafui’s release for the sake of their daughter.
