Nigerian Singer and Songwriter, Mr Eazi has become one of the few contemporary African artists to win popular entertainment award, the GRAMMYs.
The ‘Bankulize’ hitmaker along with J. Balvin, Keityn, Michael Brun, Juan Camilo Vargas and Ronald Spence Jr took home the ‘Best Urban Music Album’ award at the 2020 Latin GRAMMYs with their ‘Colores’ album.
In the history of the award scheme, only a handful of Nigerians have been able to achieve that milestone, these include; Sikiru Adepoju, Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel (Seal), Helen Folasade Adu (Sade Adu), Lekan Babalola, Hakeem Seriki (Chamillionaire), Kevin Olusola and others.
