Nigerian actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu has revealed how he cheated death after being poisoned by people who hated him.

The award-winning actor was reported to have died after a member of his domestic staff allegedly poisoned him.

However, in a recent interview, Mr Ibu disclosed that he was sick for three years but managed to survive by the grace of God.

He said his enemies orchestrated the illness, hoping he would die so they could rejoice and celebrate over his death.

He mentioned that during his illness, he was only seeing dead people and had no idea what was happening around him. He also praised the doctors who treated him, describing them as prophets.

He said, “I wasn’t actually seeing anybody. But on the other side where I was at that time, I was seeing some dead people.. God brought me back.”

Mr Ibu’s family had earlier denied reports of his death, stating that he was only sick and had been admitted to the hospital.

The actor also expressed his gratitude to his family and fans for their support and prayers during his illness.

In the interview, Mr. Ibu also mentioned that he had learned a big lesson from his illness, and he would never forget it.

He also revealed that he no longer eats food prepared by his wife, Stella, but did not give any reason for his decision.

Mr. Ibu is one of the most popular actors in Nigeria and has won several awards for his performances.

He has starred in numerous Nollywood movies, and his unique acting style has endeared him to many fans.
