It’s been just two years since former Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan officially hung up his boots from active football.
Since then, he has pursued coaching and obtained a UEFA B coaching license.
Despite being approached by the Ghana Football Association to coach one of the national teams, Asamoah Gyan declined the offer.

In an interview, he cited timing as the primary reason for his decision, emphasizing that while he’s not opposed to coaching, he believes it’s not the right time for him.
Gyan expressed openness to the possibility of coaching in the future, acknowledging that circumstances may change down the line.
He stated, “The timing was wrong but let us see what happens in the future. I won’t entirely rule out the possibility to coach because we don’t know what the future holds.”
