Internet Users Attack NPP’s Akosua Manu For Saying The BOG Doesn’t Plant Maize To Measure Inflation (Details)

Akosua Manu, a spokesperson for the NPP, came under heavy fire from social media users after asserting that the governor of the Bank of Ghana does not grow corn to gauge the degree of inflation in the nation.

The declaration was made by Manu, a Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, on TV3’s New Day.

She believes that the recent protest against Ernest Addison, the governor of the Bank of Ghana, by members of the minority caucus in Parliament and some other Ghanaians, was absolutely unnecessary.

The Central Bank governor’s resignation was demanded during the #OccupyBOG demonstration because he presided over an enormous loss in the previous fiscal year.

Manu, in response to the demonstration, claimed that Dr. Addison was not to blame at all.

It is not the Bank of Ghana that plants maize or plantains to determine that, according to Akosua Manu, if we are talking about elements that effect inflation including food.

One irate netizen responded, “See her face like Nana Addo’s head siaaa girl.”
