Kwesi Botchway Jnr, a National Communications Team Member of the New Patriotic Party, has issued a direct challenge to former President John Dramani Mahama, urging him to swiftly produce ex-MASLOC boss Sedinam Tamakloe, who has been sentenced to 10 years in prison with hard labor.
Botchway claims to know Tamakloe’s whereabouts, adding urgency to the situation. Alongside Tamakloe, Daniel Axim, former Chief Operating Officer of MASLOC, has also been sentenced to five years in jail with hard labor.

The convictions come after the duo was found guilty on 78 counts, including causing financial loss to the state, theft, conspiracy to steal, money laundering, and violating public procurement laws.
These charges stem from a series of financial irregularities linked to misappropriation of MASLOC funds between 2013 and 2016, including a controversial GH₵500,000 loan withdrawal from Obaatampa Savings and Loans company, where a 24% interest rate refund was demanded despite lack of reflection in MASLOC’s accounts, shedding light on a complex web of corruption within the organization.
