A sudden brake by a Bolt driver led to a multi-car accident in Madina this afternoon, involving at least seven vehicles.
Although no fatalities were reported, several people sustained minor injuries, and all vehicles involved suffered considerable damage.
Eyewitnesses at the scene noted that the Bolt driver’s abrupt stop caused a chain reaction as other drivers struggled to avoid collisions.
The incident has sparked discussions online, with some users voicing concerns about the driving experience of ride-hailing drivers.
Twitter user @critic_sparrow shared a similar experience, stating, “Most of the current Bolt drivers don’t have good driving experience.”
Others, like @HeyMrCarter5, expressed frustration with the broader state of traffic safety in Accra. Fortunately, emergency responders arrived quickly, and authorities are assessing the cause and measures to prevent future incidents.
