Kan Dapaah, Ghana’s Minister of National Security, has taken legal action against Oliver Barker-Vormawor, the convener of the #FixTheCountry Movement.
The legal action stems from allegations made by Barker-Vormawor, claiming that Dapaah attempted to bribe him with $1 million in 2021 to halt the #FixTheCountry demonstration.
In his lawsuit, Kan Dapaah is seeking a declaration of defamation and GH¢ 10 million in damages.
The legal action represents a significant development in the ongoing discourse surrounding the #FixTheCountry and #OccupyJulorbiHouse movement and the allegations against government officials.
The case is expected to attract significant attention as it moves forward, with both sides presenting their arguments in court or possibly Oliver providing evidence of the said bribe.
