Ghanaian car manufacturer, Kantanka Automobile has revealed in a recent statement that the company has doubled it production capacity in order to handle demand coming specifically from neighboring country, Nigeria.
According to the statement, the increase in demand from Nigeria has caused the company to produce 400 cars for the neighboring market.
“Production is currently still on-going; we have doubled last year’s production and we have just recently added an order of 100 vehicles to hit the Nigerian market. We are expanding our facilities, our workshop and now we are also poised to produce more cars to hit the Ghanaian market as well,” Francis Kudjordjie – General Manager of Kantanka Automobile revealed.
The company also revealed of securing about 13,000 orders from 3 African countries in recent times.
“By the end of this year, Kantanka will build electric cars that could travel between Accra to Kumasi before recharge. We intend to do that before this year ends,” The Chief Executive Officer of Kantanka Automobile – Kwadwo Safo Kantanka Junior stated.
Kwadwo Safo Kantanka asserted that this move should inform Ghanaians of the readiness of the company to adapt to technology and innovation in order to survive on the global stage.
